The Mayweather’s

Anyone who is anyone knows who Floyd “Money” Mayweather is. He is currently undefeated and holds multiple title belts. Although he is retired at the moment, you never know when he thinks he’s ready to get back in the ring. But we aren’t here to gossip about Floyd, he gets enough of that. We are here to discuss his father, because he isn’t the only boxing talent in his family.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. was also a pretty known fighter, carrying a career record of 28-6 during the 70’s and 80’s. In addition to his dad, Floyd Jr.’s uncles, Roger and Jeff Mayweather, were former boxers who fought professionally in a number of different weight classes. Roger eventually became Floyd’s personal trainer.

Floyd Mayweather being the most successful out of the entire family. He has all of this to stand by his name. He has fought in 50 total fights, knocking out 27 of those men. He has lost zero times in his career. Mayweather was named “fighter of the decade” for the 2010’s by the Boxing Writer Association of America. He is a two-time winner of The Ring magazine Fighter of the Year award, a three time winner of the BWAA Fighter of the Year award and a six-time winner of the Best Fighter ESPY Award. He has been ranked on numerous occasions the pound for pound best boxer of the last 25 years. The Mayweather family is certainly not a family to mess with.
